Fire on the Altar

A little update about my occupation. I love what I do !! 

I get to spend hours a day ministering to God. Together with my brothers and sisters in Christ, we make sure that worship and prayer continue for 24/7 without ceasing. We have four different watches. The first six months here, I was hidden away in the night watch, midnight - 6 am. Now I go home at 2 am, and actually get to enjoy waking up to enjoy some daytime hours also. Since coming here I have learned to play piano and to sing. I didn't even know that I had a desire for that. I have never been musical in my whole life. Now I am on the stage every midnight-2 am set, either singing or playing piano or prayer lead. On wednesday nights I lead my own devotional set, which has been a real good challenge for me. 

During the day I come into the prayer room just to study and meditate on the Word or to spend time in God's presence. There is such healing through Holy Spirit. Also, when you meditate on God's Word, it's like eating it. Fills you up in a good way. Almost every day we have classes to attend. I also come in to help clean, organize or serve in some way. We call it "Service Hours". I like to vaccum. But first of all, I am here to worship and to pray on the microphone. I think I'm dreaming !!     ha ha ha   :)
